Reece High School - Cradle Mountain National Park

For Grade Nine students, their expedition to Cradle Mountain has seen many thousands of dollars worth of global positioning system (GPS) receivers included in their backpacks.  The GPS equipment has been loaned to the school by Spatial Education.com and Lester Franks Survey and Geographic.  The students used the equipment to locate walking tracks, flora, fauna and local infrastructure.  Back in the classroom, students will manipulate the data from their two day trek, to create maps of Cradle Mountain and its surrounds.
